TSM Pulls The Plug On Drone After Another VALORANT Open Exit Qualifier

More prospective changes in the TSM VALORANT camp are possible. Taylor “drone” Johnson was sent to the bench today after another early departure for TSM’s VALORANT roster. The organization also said that it will be trialing players to locate a “permanent [fifth]” ahead of the next NA VCT Stage Three: Challengers Two qualifier.

TSM made several lineup adjustments before the start of the most recent qualification for NA Stage Three: Challengers One. It injured Stephen “reltuC” Cutler and acquired Sean “bang” Bezerra, let go of temporary sixth-man Braxton “brax” Pierce, promoted James “hazed” Cobb to the in-game leader, and hired experienced CS:GO coach Chet Singh. TSM lost in the third round of the open qualifier against Noble, who nearly follows up with an unexpected victory over 100 Thieves.

Drone is a founding member of the TSM VALORANT squad, which was founded in May 2020 when the team signed the mouseSpaz roster of former NA CS:GO players. TSM quickly surged to the top of the North American scene by the end of 2020 but has suffered since the start of VCT, only making it to two Challengers’ main events and lacking in the now four open qualifiers.

TSM has spoken out to various organizations and has already developed a shortlist of many individuals it is looking to trial, according to Upcomer’s George Geddes, who reported the move before the official announcement. Geddes has a benched list. Tristan “Critical” Trinacty, a Gamers player, created the name as something to keep an eye on.
