Finn ‘karrigan‘ Anderson put up a strong effort as FaZe defeated ENCE 2-0 on the first day of the PGL Stockholm Major.

FaZe got off to a poor start with dycha and Spinx looking sharp, impeding their efforts to get started on Dust 2. It wasn’t until Havard ‘rain‘ Nygard’s 1v4 clutch that the FaZe offense took on a new appearance. Because karrigan and rain got off to a sluggish start, ENCE was able to capitalize and win a couple of rounds.

Rain‘s clutch assisted FaZe in regaining their ground, with Helvijs ‘broky‘ Sauskants unexpectedly underperforming. Although the Latvian sniper had a round T-side, he was able to participate in a supportive position. Despite everyone’s efforts, Karrigan managed to steal the show with lurking that flawlessly showcased his years of skill. The first half ended with FaZe edging ENCE by a single round, 8-7 in favor of FaZe.

The second managed to bring it even closer, with ENCE obtaining an anti-eco, allowing them to pick up 5 rounds in a row, leaving FaZe trailing with a 5 round deficit, and this is where Karrigan‘s heroics secured the most important rounds for FaZe, impressive when supporting, stellar when anchoring, and sublime when pushing. Every move FaZe made was deliberate, and if it failed, it might have had serious ramifications.

Obviously, the Danish IGL finished the map with 28 kills and 1.55 IR, giving him the server’s highest-rated player. Two wins in two games put them as near to the finals as they can get on the first day.
