Nemanja ‘nexa‘ Isakovic of G2 esports IGL will be absent from what might be the year’s final event, i.e. Winter, IEM. The Serbian had some visa concerns that could not be resolved in time, thus he will have to withdraw from the $250,000 LAN. IEM Winter begins on December 2, just a few days after BLAST Fall Finals conclude.

Kenny ‘kennyS‘ Schrub, an experienced AWPer, will take his place. The French shooter who reinvented how the AWP was utilized back in the day has been on the sideline since March when G2 opted to bring JaCkZ back into the lineup. Since then, he’s been working hard on twitch.tv, streaming CS:GO, Valorant, holding a Major watch party, and playing a variety of other games.

Fans applauded the move because Kenney has always been a fan favorite and they wanted to see him compete at the highest level at least once more. G2 will also compete in the BLAST World Finals at the end of the year, but it is unclear whether kennyS or nexa will be on the squad. G2 recently parted ways with coach ‘maleK,’ and his spot will be filled for the time being by ‘Swani.’

According to G2, the Serb will return to the lineup as soon as his concerns are handled. Until then, the G2 esports roster will be as follows:

  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Audric “JaCkz” Jug
  • François “AmaNEk” Delaunay
  • Kenny “kennyS” Schrub
  • Jan “Swani” Müller (coach)
