A flying truck cheat reappears, wreaking havoc on the European Duos Cash Cup tournament.
Fortnite Battle Royale players are constantly at odds with those who seek an unfair advantage. A hacker or cheater is out to ruin the mood of every talented competitor on the scene. Epic Games has made numerous attempts to thwart these attempts. Unfortunately, cheaters find their way into tournaments on a regular basis.
Today’s European Duos Cash Cup provided yet another example of heinous cheaters vying for attention. Several top professional players took to Twitter to share video clips of a hacker who could instantly eliminate opponents from an invisible car. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such a ridiculous hack.
Derman “MOTOR” zdemir, a Fortnite personality and former competitor, provided a more detailed account of the cheater, who managed to win back-to-back 60-elimination Cash Cup games. In the video, the cheater and his teammate are seen flying through the air in a semi truck. According to MOTOR, this player eliminated others from a distance of 200 meters.
It’s a strange hack that Epic Games has yet to resolve. We can safely assume that the offender was eventually detected and dealt with by Fortnite’s anti-cheat software. Nonetheless, the player caused harm and, quite frankly, ruined the tournament experience for the other 141 participants.
Hopefully, Epic will continue to crack down on cheaters in order to keep Fortnite’s integrity in a competitive setting. That would be the ideal outcome for those who put in the effort to become the best.
