An impressive group of players.
For the Los Angeles Guerrillas of the Call of Duty League, a report from Dot Esports on Sept. 3 confirmed that SlasheR, Gunless, Asim, and Huke are the new starting four.
The Guerrillas will be hoping to build on a disappointing 2021 season in which they tied for the last place in CDL Points. LAG finished the season with an 8-26 match record, tying them with the Paris Legion (8-22) for the fewest series won during the Black Ops Cold War season.
SlasheR, who spent the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Thieves, is making a quick transition. The veteran will lead a young, talented roster in the purple and black going ahead, following the team’s comprehensive reconstruction with an entirely new roster.
It’s no secret that Gunless and Huke, both older players, have a long history in competitive Call of Duty, and Asim has had an impressive showing with the New York Subliners this season. As one of the first teams to be confirmed for 2022, the squad is well-balanced.
It was announced on Aug. 29 that the Guerrillas will be releasing SiLLY, Apathy, MentaL, Assault, and Cheen from their ranks. In just a few days before the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta begins, they were replaced. Most likely, the team will start grinding right away.
CoD: Vanguard will be released on November 5, but the start date for the 2022 season has yet to be revealed.
