Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo was officially removed from FaZe Clan’s VALORANT roster in December after gaining restricted free agency status. ZachaREEE has joined the Akrew VALORANT team.
ZachaREEE is an ex-Overwatch player who joined FaZe in July 2020. He became a fixture on the VALORANT roster and a key member of the North American team, which was a regional powerhouse. FaZe won the main event of the VCT NA Season One Challengers Three and advanced to the Masters One grand final against Sentinels. They eventually lost to the Sentinels and did not qualify for the remaining two Masters events.
In December, ZachaREEE announced his departure from FaZe and stated that he was open to other opportunities. He competed with the We Can roster in the x1 MOB February Banger tournament before joining the Akrew VALORANT team for the BoomTV Proving Grounds $20,000 Spring 2022 tournament. The team finished in the top eight, but ZachaREEE stayed with the team and officially joined the Akrew roster earlier today.
FaZe is rescheduling its VALORANT roster, with Phat “Supamen” Le and Kevin “POISED” Ngo reportedly being considered. The team has not yet been officially announced by the organization, but it will compete in the second stage of the NA VALORANT Champions Tour.
