The Major Two qualifiers are over, and we saw Jimbo make his debut, Capsidal break the Hardpoint kill record, Nastie clutch and the first 1v4 of the season, and Gismo return from a brief hiatus due to personal reasons.
The top three are unchanged from our previous Call of Duty ladder, with one minor change: Capsidal has moved up to second, bumping Nastie down to third, and Gismo is holding on to first place by a single vote.
Moving down to fourth and fifth place are the Surge rookies Sib and Pred, who were separated by a single vote as well. Sib looked like himself again in their recent matches, finishing the split with a 1.10 kill/death ratio, while Pred has remained consistent with a 1.05 kill/death ratio in their last five matches.
Nero, on the other hand, is still struggling with consistency and has dropped one spot to sixth place. Over Boston’s last five matches, he averaged 0.88 kill/death ratio, but he also nearly tied the Hardpoint kill record, just a week after his rookie duo Capsidal set it at 54.
Fortunately for Davpadie, thanks to Jimbo and GRVTY, he is no longer last. Mutineers are still struggling to put everything together this season, with huge pace issues at the core of their playstyle, and Davpadie is unlikely to get much love from our voting panel until this is addressed.
To no one’s surprise, Jimbo has landed in ninth place on the ladder after finishing the qualifiers with a 0.78 kill/death ratio, and his teammate GRVTY is just above him in eighth place.
Following the first Major of the 2022 CDL season, here are our rookie rankings.
9. Bryan “Jimbo” Sabman
Jimbo had one of the worst Call of Duty League debuts in history. He has the third-lowest kill/death ratio in the league through five games. Royalty, who is no longer in the league, and Spart, who only played one series against OpTic Texas over the weekend, are the only two players who rank lower than him.
But it wasn’t all bad for Jimbo; in Paris Legion’s win over Toronto Ultra, Jimbo finished with the most kills, the second-highest damage, and 20 kills across both Search and Destroy maps.

Paris will begin Major Two this weekend in the elimination bracket, facing the loser of the Florida Mutineers vs. London Royal Ravens at 3 p.m. ET.

7. David “Davpadie” Maslowski
Davpadie hasn’t moved since our last ladder, but with Jimbo and GRVTY making their debuts, he’s no longer last.
Mutineers have yet to find a rhythm. They appear incredible at times and lost at others. The team finished the qualifiers with a 2-3 record, defeating Subliners and Guerrillas while losing to FaZe, Breach, and OpTic. Davpadie finished their match against Subliners with a kill/death ratio of 1.32.
Davpadie’s pace, like that of the rest of his teammates, is still questionable, and unless they all get on the same page at the same time, this team isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

6. Dylan “Nero” Koch
Nero is still struggling with consistency in his rookie season, but when he’s on, he’s a terrifying sight.
In week two of Major Two qualifiers, Boston Breach defeated Toronto Ultra, and Nero finished with 51 kills on Bocage Hardpoint, just three short of tying the Call of Duty League record set by his rookie partner Capsidal only six days earlier. He finished the series with an incredible 110 kills across five maps and a kill/death ratio of 1.21.
However, in his other four Major Two matches, Nero has averaged a 0.77 kill/death ratio and has struggled to keep up with his teammates at times, which may not be entirely his fault.

5. Amer “Pred” Zulbeari
Unfortunately, the Australian has dropped one spot on this ladder, falling to fifth thanks to Sib, albeit by a single vote.
Pred finished with a 1.25 kill/death ratio and a team-high 85 kills in Seattle’s final Major Two qualifier match, helping seal a 3-1 victory over the struggling Los Angeles Thieves.
This weekend, the Seattle Surge will face OpTic Texas in another first-round matchup. The two teams have already met twice this season, with OpTic coming out on top both times.

4. Daunte “Sib” Gray
Sib’s season has been a rollercoaster so far. He appeared to be an MVP candidate during the pre-season Kick Off Classic, but he struggled during Major One, finishing 9th-12th.
Moving on to Major Two qualifiers, Sib looked like himself again, averaging a 1.10 kill/death ratio across their five matches, beating Atlanta FaZe and Los Angeles Thieves but losing to OpTic, the Breach, and the Guerrillas.
Their first Major Two match will be against the Major One champions OpTic. In the elimination bracket, the loser of that match will face Minnesota RKKR.

3. Byron “Nastie” Plumridge
Nastie has been consistent since the start of the season. He’s dropped one spot due to Capsidal’s stellar play over the last three weeks, but the European’s game hasn’t changed a whit.
Nastie finished with a 1.38 kill/death ratio against Los Angeles Thieves in week one of Major Two qualifiers, including a match-high 76 kills and 9,422 over three maps.
Nastie completed the first 1v4 of the season during their next match against Paris Legion, something that was only done once during Cold War last year.

2. Kenyen “Capsidal” Sutton
Capsidal is quickly establishing himself as a contender for rookie of the year. He’s risen from fifth on our first ladder to third, and now sits in second place, with only one vote separating him from the top spot.
Capsidal set a Call of Duty League kill record with 54 kills on Bocage Hardpoint during Boston Breach’s week one match against Seattle Surge, and he finished the series with a 1.47 kill/death ratio, with 100 kills in four maps.
His strong suit is still Search and Destroy, where he ranks fourth in kill/death ratio and third in kills per round, but his Control woes persist, with him ranking last in all three categories. If that game-mode improves and Boston Breach finishes high at Major Two, there’s no doubt he’ll be at the top of the next ladder.

Joey “Gismo” Owen
Gismo has reclaimed first place on the rookie ladder despite missing two games.
He took a brief break at the start of Major Two’s week one qualifiers, but returned to the starting lineup the following week. In his first match back, he fell behind 0-2 to Paris Legion, but he was able to complete a reverse sweep and secure the victory for his team. Gismo finished the series with 84 kills, 10,756 damage, and a kill/death ratio of 1.02.
Gismo will have to turn it up a notch if he wants to keep his number one spot on the ladder in London’s Major Two tournament, which begins on Friday against the Florida Mutineers.
